Commissioned painting: This is a composed painting. Part of it was painted from a photo as reference,
but more was added according to the description the client gave me, from her memories, and her description of her husband's
grandmother's character, and personality. She wanted those qualities to be reflected on this painting. The painting is full
of the beauty, and a spiritual sense of love, and care that Abuelita, (Grandmother. The woman on the balcony) who lives in
a barrio, countryside, of Rincón, Puerto Rico, is known for. A very loving, caring, person, who has always shown kindness
to everyone in her path. Her humble house is always a place full of peace and warmth for those in need. The flowers in her
garden reflects her soul, as well as her inner beauty. The painting is all about this kind and beautiful lady, standing at
the balcony.
