Puerto Rican Artist
Migdalia Cabán, also known as 'Boricua MC', expresses herself through different styles and media, to include oil and acrylics.A Latin American Artist, her passion for life and art is vividly depicted in her colorful
paintings.Her artwork is kindled by her playful and inquisitive mind and her
boundless passion for life’s new experiences.
Born
in Puerto Rico, she later traveled to different countries, and has been living in the state of Colorado in the United States, since 1993.
In2004,Migdaliahad a dream, which ignited her passion and first experience with painting. Without any previous experience
or instruction, she took her first leap of faith in the art world and painted her first piece, titled; "A Spanish Song"(2004) a portrait of her mother.
She studied at the
University of Puerto Rico, Florida State University in Panama, and graduated
with a BA from the University of Colorado,in Colorado Springs.She loves teaching others through her painting workshops, and provides private painting
lessons as well.
Her artwork have been exhibited at various galleries in Colorado, as well as on the Gallery of Contemporary Art, University
of Colorado.Her first painting
“A Spanish Song”received a very positive critique and published on the American Artists.com
and the America Artists magazine, October Edition, 2006.
